Defoamers
Defoamers
are used for two main purposes: to either kill or suppress foam.
JLK Industries provides defoamers to the market through Performance
Process Inc.
Our products come in four main forms:
- Oil
Containing ("water in oil" or "oil in water"
emulsions)
- Water
Based (fatty alcohol emulsions)
- Concentrates
(surfactant based)
- Silicone
Based (concentrates and emulsions)
We
offer commercial products within each these three categories,
but we pride ourselves in being able to develop custom defoamers
for your needs.
Defoamer Components
If you are interested in formulating, JLK provides the basic defoamer
building blocks to the formulating chemist. Our defoamer components
include:
- Hydrophobic
silica (varying levels of silicone)
- Emulsifiers
- Hydrocarbon
oil (Zero DBD/DBF)
- Oil/Silica
blends (13%,15%,18%)
- Oil/Silica/Emulsifier
blends ("Just Add Water")
- Amorphous
Precipitated Silica
